School Board

 

 

Due to the resignation of a board member, the BASD Board of Directors is seeking individuals who may be interested in serving on the BASD School Board.

 

Interested individuals must submit a letter of interest along with a Statement of Financial Interests to the District Office, Attention: Susan Grassmyer, 300 Martin Street, Bellwood, PA 16617 OR electronically to [email protected] no later than Monday, January 12, 2026.

Committee of the Whole and Regular School Board meetings will be held in the Bellwood-Antis High School Cafeteria, 300 Martin Street, Bellwood, PA, at 7:00 PM, unless otherwise noted, and are open to the public.  Please enter through the side door of the cafeteria.

The Bellwood-Antis School District Board of School Directors consists of nine individuals who are elected at large by the citizens of the Borough of Bellwood and Antis Township.  School Board members are assigned the authority to establish, equip, furnish, operate, and maintain public schools in the Bellwood-Antis School District.  Though elected locally, they serve on behalf of the Pennsylvania state legislature.  Each director serves without compensation for a term of four years.

 

Provide for the education of all children.
Set district policies and regulations regarding school activities.
Approve curriculum.
Hire personnel.
Adopt an annual school district budget.
Levy taxes.
